Lori grew up in Dunwoody, Georgia with three sisters who all rode
horses. Lori’s first pony lived in the backyard, but she soon moved him to the neighborhood barn where she began to compete on a local level.
In high school, Lori trained with Frank Gombolay and traveled around
the South East to compete on a national level in children’s hunter,
junior hunter and equitation divisions. She concluded her career as
a junior training under Terry Brown of Cumming, Georgia.
After a 16 year break from competition, Lori returned to the sport in
2000 to compete in the adult and amateur owner hunters again, with trainer Terry Brown of Showcase Ltd. Lori currently owns two amateur owner hunters, Victor and Neil, who are retired at Linden Hill Farm
in Hartwell, Georgia.
